The ideal candidate has a proven record working successfully within the precision machining industry, industrial plants and distributors for industrial products. He/she has an engineering technologist degree or a college degree in business, strong technical sales and project management skills and thrives in a professional, hands-on environment.

Objectives
- Objectives - Service existing customers and increase sales to these customers
- Technical sales support (including onsite measuring) and quotations
- Special promotional campaigns to various target markets
- Provide technical support to external sales force, distributors and agents
- Work on special marketing projects (telemarketing campaigns, product launches, follow up campaigns etc.

Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience in the sales of industrial and/or technical products
- Experience in supporting and developing sales by working closely with OEM, end-users and industrial
distribution companies
- Engineering technologist degree and/or a college degree in business
- Very good technical understanding (onsite measurements, CAD drawings)
- Understanding of marketing mix to support advertising campaigns
- Project management experience with proven results and willing to travel occasionally
- Systematic and objective-oriented, hands -on approach in entrepreneurial environment
- Computer skills (AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar software)
- Contact management experience (Act, Maximizer or similar)
- Good people skills, self-motivated, open to new ideas and able to work with little or no supervision
- French language skills a definite asset

In order to take advantage of this opportunity, Shaver Industries is looking for an experienced internal technical sales person to support the growth of its extensive product line for the North American market. .

The Responsibilities

Internal Technical Sales
- Respond to customer inquires and submit quotes
- Follow up on quotes
- Develop pro-active and regular follow-up campaigns with customer and prospects
- Provide technical support for key-accounts

Market Development Projects
- Market analysis for specific product groups (i.e. door manufacturers, food handling industries) to develop new opportunities with growth potential
- Optimize communications mix to increase sales to specific market segments
- Provide feedback in regards to product development to meet customer requirements
- Make suggestions for direct marketing campaigns

Marketing Support Projects
- Implement direct marketing campaigns (telemarketing and follow up)
- Support agents and distributors with special projects
- Provide information to be used for sell sheets and web site
- Collect and provide information for case studies

Reporting
You will report to the VP Operations of Shaver Industries Inc.

Compensation
Base salary plus commission and bonus
Comprehensive group benefit package
